The grounds of historic Oatlands Plantation play host Sunday afternoon to the Loudoun Hunt Point-to-Point races, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
The day features several races for riders of varying skill over Oatlands’ well-manicured grounds. Visitors may take in any number of races while enjoying a picnic from home, or the fruits of several on-site food and beverage vendors.
Guests would also do well to try for an up-close look at the more than 40-year-old racecourse, originally designed by local equestrian Harry Wight.
Admission is $50 per carload of four adults at the gate or $5 per person, with all children age 12 and younger admitted free of charge.
Gates open to the public at 11 a.m.
