Another gorgeous scene found along the western portion of the W&OD Trail.
A biker makes his way under a cool tunnel on the W&OD Trail.
If you need a pit stop on your way to Lowry's Crab Shack in Hamilton, the Paeonian Grocery is there to save the day. Clear signage lets you know when to dip off the trail for restrooms, a quick snack or a cold beverage.
If all you need is a breather, there are a number of benches and even covered waystations like this one ready to relieve weary muscles and joints.
Lowry's Crab Shack is a welcome sight after completing the first leg of your W&OD day trip—take a load off while you enjoy piles of steamed crabs, seasoned shrimp, the fresh catch of the day or any number of delicious add-ons like hushpuppies, corn fritters, homemade coleslaw and ice cold beer.
Take a last look at Lowry's Crab Shack sign before heading back to the W&OD Trail to make your way back to Leesburg.
