The recently established Middleburg Museum Foundation “invites you to put on your dancing shoes for an evening of fun” from 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 26, at the Middleburg Community Center, in the words of Middleburg resident Eura Lewis.
The former town councilwoman has spearheaded the long push to have a museum in town, which has the strong backing of the Town Council.
Tickets are $50 in advance or $65 at the door. The evening will include a silent auction, refreshments and dancing. A percentage of the admission for the fundraiser is tax deductible. Lewis said the group’s intention is to apply for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status as part of the drive to establish a multicultural museum that will represent Middleburg’s history.
“We have an overwhelming amount of information and history to be preserved,” Lewis said.
