Bill In Support Of Undocumented Students Moves Forward In House of Delegates

Legislation championed by Del. Alfonso Lopez to give in-state tuition rates to undocumented students under certain circumstances has made it out of one House of Delegates committee and could face a vote in the full House this week.

Lopez’s measure was wrapped into a bill patroned by Del. Thomas Rust (R-Herndon) that passed 17-4 out of the House Committee on Education. As of Monday morning, it was awaiting action in the House Committee on Appropriations.
